Our crews are currently in the process of renovating and establishing the grounds where Veterans and their families can retreat!

Welcome to Young, AZ Where Veteran's Can Retreat
Young, Arizona is located in the heart of Pleasant Valley in Gila County, about 120 miles northeast of Phoenix. It is truly one of Arizona’s best-kept secrets. Untouched and unspoiled. It gives visitors a real-life example of the true wild, wild west. The area is home to the largest Ponderosa Pine forest in the world. It is a breathtaking escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life providing the perfect place for families to disconnect to reconnect.

The Pleasant Valley Veterans Retreat sits on over 300+ acres and is connected to millions of Tonto National Forest acreage. The area is beautiful and through our renovation efforts we plan to provide a safe and hospital environment that lends itself to healing and learning through the environment.

Pleasant Valley Veterans Retreat offers hiking trails both right on the property and in the surrounding area, allowing guests to enjoy nature and tranquility in every direction.

Hunting & Fishing
While Pleasant Valley Veterans Retreat doesn’t have hunting or fishing on the property itself, it is surrounded by prime areas in Young, AZ, offering plenty of opportunities for both activities nearby.

Horseback Riding
Head over to Cherry Creek Lodge for a true Cowboy experience and ride like the wind! A great opportunity to hit the trails on the back of a local expert trail ride horse!

Wine Tasting
PVVR doesn’t have wine tasting on the property, but guests can visit Bruzzi Vineyard, located just minutes away. This vineyard offers a variety of locally crafted wines, providing a perfect spot to relax and enjoy.

Pleasant Valley Veterans Retreat
The Pleasant Valley Veterans Retreat will be offering camping, room and housing rentals, recreation, rehabilitation, counseling, and outdoor therapy for veterans and their families. We plan to be fully operational in the Spring of 2022.
